Biography

Returns for his fourth season and should be a starter again along the Aggies defensive line…Excellent run stopper who gets to play alongside his two friends from Detroit – Tyre Glasper and Jarrell Herring…Comes from a great high school program in Detroit that has produced several NFL talents, including star receiver Braylon Edwards…Proved last season that he could also be a valuable pass rusher for the Aggies…Has shown steady improvement throughout his career…Brings tremendous strength to the Aggies defensive line…Beal is one of the strongest Aggies on the team, benching in the 400 pound range and cleaning in the 300’s…Has played in 28 games with 58 tackles…Also has 8 ½ tackles for loss and 3 ½ sacks during his career…JUNIOR (2008): Played in 12 games with 12 starts…Put up career numbers in tackles, tackles for loss and sacks…Made 31 tackles, 7 ½ for loss and added 3 ½ sacks…Made two tackles and recovered a fumble in a 44-12 Aggies win over Johnson C. Smith on Aug. 30…Forced a fumble and had three tackles against Coastal Carolina on Sept. 27…Made a career-high eight tackles with three tackles for loss in the Aggies Homecoming game against Morgan State on Oct. 11…Recorded a sack and had three tackles at Delaware State on Oct. 18…SOPHOMORE (2007):…Played in 11 games with four starts…He made at least one tackle in every game he played…He had a career night against Norfolk State on Sept. 27 when he recorded six tackles, including two solo tackles…He finished the season with nine solo and 17 assisted tackles…Finished with two solo and two assisted tackles against Howard on October 20 and returned the next week and had four more tackles against Bethune-Cookman during the Aggies 2008 Homecoming. FRESHMAN (2006): Played in five games without a start…Was a part of the Aggies defensive lineman rotation…Made four tackles on the season, including a tackle for loss…His tackle for loss came against Winston-Salem State when he stopped Rams running back Brandon McRae for a six-yard loss...M.L.
