Breakdown: Coles is an athletic back with size, speed and power...Can play a number of positions including fullback, tailback and tight end...Makes major contributions for the Aggies despite the fact that his name doesn't always show up in the stats sheet...Provides the Aggies with an extra offensive line in the backfield as well as an additional receiving threat...Hasn't received many opportunities to carry the ball during his career, but when he does carry the ball, he has been proven to be a tough back to stop in the open field.

2010 Season: Played in 10 games with one start...Played at the tight end and running back positions...Carried the ball six times for 17 yards, while recording two receptions for 29 yards...Made his first career start as a tight end on Sept. 18 at Hampton...With starting running back Mike Mayhew injured and not able to play on Nov. 20, Coles carried the ball six times for 17 yards.

 2009 Season: Was a part of a talented backfield along with Dontavious Payne and Mike Mayhew...Played in eight games with two starts...One of those starts came against Norfolk State...Played a crucial role in the Aggies win over the Spartans at home on Sept. 12...After an early score by the Spartans, Coles ripped off runs of 23, 13 and 9 yards that led to a 24-yard field goal that slowed down the Spartans' momentum in a 17-13 Aggies win...Scored his first touchdown as an Aggie when he plowed in from 1-yard out in the first quarter against S.C. State on Nov. 21...It was his second start of the season...Had a season-high nine carries in the game.

High School: He won two state championships as a prep standout...He was also an All-State and all-conference performer...He rushed for more than 1,500 yards and had 24 rushing touchdowns as a senior.
