Biography

Breakdown: Was a part of an outstanding 2011 defensive line...The defense held four different opponents to under 35 yards rushing and three of those opponents had single-digit rushing yardage...Missed the 2010 season, but made up for it with a stellar 2011 season...He is a tenacious interior defensive lineman with speed and agility...Has a 27-inch vertical and his broad jump his 8-feet, 10-inches...Has played in 18 games with 11 starts over his career...Has made 30 solo tackles and 11 assisted tackles for a total of 41.

2011 Season: Started all 11 games...Recorded 20 solo tackles and 10 assisted tackles for a total of 30...Ranked second among defensive lineman on the team in tackles...Also ranked second on the team in sacks with four....His 5.5 tackles went for minus-23 yards...Broke up two passes, hurried the quarterback four times and recovered and caused a fumble...Made three solo tackles, two tackles for loss and had a sack against Coastal Carolina on Sept. 24...Made a career-high five tackles at Appalachian State on Sept. 10.
