Biography

Breakdown: Returns to the team after taking last year off...Pegues adds veteran leadership after becoming a part-time starter in 2010...Has excellent cover skills and should figure into the Aggies defensive plans in 2012...Could also be a crucial player on special teams.

2010 Season: Played in 10 games with four starts...Made seven tackles with five solo stops and two assisted...He also broke up two passes and recorded three tackles against Winston-Salem State on Sept. 4.

2009 Season: Played as a reserve during the season...Played in six games with no starts...Played consistently well when called upon.

High School: Considered one of the best cornerbacks in the state...Played both safety and cornerback in high school...Was looked at by a lot of major Division I schools...Has a nose for the football evidenced by his nine interceptions as a senior.
