Fears had outstanding spring practices, which earned him the No. 1 quarterback spot going into camp…Offensive coordinator Chennis Berry anticipates Fears will have a breakout season…Fears is accompanied by a lot of experienced competition, including former starters Herbert Miller and Shelton Morgan…Fears transferred to N.C. A&T from Georgia Military College…Has a lively arm and also provides the Aggies with another quarterback who is mobile in the pocket…Came in during the spring to grasp the Aggies offense…Over his junior college career, he threw for 1,692 yards, 14 touchdowns and eight interception while completing 47.1 percent of his passes…JUNIOR (2008): Played in seven games with four starts…Threw for 230 yards, two touchdowns, four interceptions on 31-for- 82 passing…Made his fi rst career start against Hampton on Sept. 20…Threw for 76 yards and a touchdown on 13-for-21 passing…A week earlier he came in for an injured Miller and was 5-for-9 for 72 yards and a touchdown in a 27-21 loss to Norfolk State…Rushed for 82 yards on 14 carries against N.C. Central on Oct.4, including a 63-yard run that set up a 1-yard touchdown by Nigel Tomlin…GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE (2007): He played in nine games in the National Junior College Athletic Association, where he threw for 699 yards, six touchdowns and six interceptions…He completed 43.5 percent of his passes…He threw for 272 yards on 13-for-26 passing and had two touchdown passes on Aug. 25 against Highland Community College (Kansas)…During the season, he also rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries…GEORGIA MILITARY COLLEGE (2006): He played in nine games in the National Junior College Athletic Association where he threw for 993 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions…He completed 50 percent of his passes and threw for 110 yards per game…He also rushed for 84 yards on 33 carries during the season…He threw for a career-high 417 yards on 17-for-27 passing against Louisburg College…HIGH SCHOOL: He attended Stone Mountain High…As a senior he threw for 1,611 yards and 19 touchdowns…He completed 54.4 percent of his passes and threw just four interceptions.
