Andre McKoy looks to continue to be a strong player for
A&T this season. After two years
with the Aggies, he has a .300 career batting average, with 81 hits in 86
games...He has nine doubles, four triples, two home runs and 31 RBI in his career
for the Aggies...Posted a .974 fielding percentage, making 74 putouts, an
assist, and just two errors last season...Also named second-team All-MEAC.
2011 Season: Batted
.327 with nine doubles, two triples, two home runs, 25 RBI and 47 runs in 54
games...Ranked seventh in the MEAC with 47 runs scored...Collected a season-high
three RBI on April 17 in the second game of a doubleheader against UMES, and on
March 5 in the second game of a doubleheader against Savannah State...Went 4x6
with an RBI and four runs scored on April 19 against USC Upstate...Went 4-for-5
with a double, three RBI and two runs on April 17 against UMES...Doubled in
back-to-back doubleheader games on April 17 against UMES...Had a season-high four
hits twice...Posted a season-long 10-game hitting streak from March 9 to March
29...Earned MEAC "Other Top Performer" honors on March 21 and April 18.
2010 Season: As a
freshman, he hit .180 (9-for-50) with two triples, six RBI and 10 runs in 32
games... went 3x3 with a triple, three RBI and two runs on April 3 against
Florida A&M...Had a season-high five at-bats on Feb. 19 against Ohio.
High School: McKoy was named to the 2009
All-Conference and All-County baseball teams...He was a 2007 Track State
Champion, and a 2007 Indoor Track National Qualifier...McKoy was an Honor Roll
student in all four years of high school...Also competed in track as well as
baseball.
Personal: Full name is Andre' McKoy...He is the son of
Marvin and Tammy McKoy...Was born on Aug. 25, 1991 and has one sibling,
Alexis....He is a pre physical therapy major who made the Dean's List and the
MEAC All-Academic team... Looks forward to a career in physical therapy with a
degree and his own practice...Is also involved in the Student- Athlete Advisory
Committee...Spend the 2011 summer competing in summer collegiate baseball...His
goal this season is to earn MEAC Player of the Year honors.
