North Carolina A&T

An outstanding baseball player whose talent on the field is overshadowed by his excellence in the classroom … Knapp is a 4.0 student for the N.C. A&T baseball program as he was named Male Academic Athlete of the Year by N.C. A&T’s athletics department in 2019 … Has great range as an infielder and can play both corners as well as second … Developed into an excellent hitter before the season was canceled in 2020 because of COVID-19. 

2021 Season: Played in 28 games making 16 starts in his second year at A&T… Turned in a .188 batting average with 12 hits, including three doubles, a home run and nine RBI… Also scored seven runs and had a .312 on-base percentage with eight walks… Went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored and a walk drawn on March 7 against the Citadel. 

2020 Season: Season was canceled early because of COVID-19 pandemic … Before the season ended, he played in 12 games with six starts … Finished the season at .333 to go along with five RBI and one double … Had a .364 slugging percentage and a .476 on-base percentage … Went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored in the Aggies 11-8 loss to Gardner-Webb on Feb. 23. 

2019 Season: Did not play a game during the season. 

High School: Attended and played high school baseball at Green Hope High School … Competed on the varsity level for four years under head coach Michael Miragliuolo … Batted .352 for his career with an on-base percentage of .418 … Finished his career with 92 hits, 60 RBI and 66 runs scored … Earned all-academic honors three times and was a two-time first-team All-Triangle 6 performer.
