2019-20 Indoor Season: Competed in five meets during the season … Had a second-place finish in the distance medley relay with his teammates at the Jim Green Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky with a time of 10:00.08 … Placed second in the 800m at the Hokie Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech as he ran a 1:51.05 on Jan. 25 … Posted two personal-best at the University of South Carolina’s Carolina Challenge as he ran a 4:09.72 in the mile to finish fifth and a 8:24.11 in the 3000m to finish fifth … Ran a personal-best 14:55.31 in the 5000m to win at the Tyson Invitational at the University of Arkansas on Feb. 15 … Had another outstanding MEAC indoor championship at the Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Center, Feb. 27-29, as he had three first-place finishes and one third-place finish … Won the mile (4:18.37), 5000m (14:59.65) and the DMR (10:04.29) … Finished the 800 in 1:55.19 to score 37 points and to be named MEAC Most Outstanding Male Track Athlete.
2019 Outdoor Season: Competed in six meets as a freshman outdoor runner … Made his collegiate debut at the Florida Relays at the University of Florida where he ran a 4:01.40 in the 1500m … Placed third in the Phoenix Invitational in the 800 and 3000m steeplechase at Elon University as he finished the 800 in 1:54.39 and the 3000m steeplechase in 9:58.14 … Had an outstanding Aggie Invitational at N.C. A&T’s Irwin Belk Track as he won the 800m in 1:50.59, he finished second in the 1500m in 4:00.98 and he had a seventh-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 138-feet … Placed second at the LSU Alumni Gold in the 800m on April 20 as he crossed the line in 1:51.25 … Scored a whopping 25 points at his first MEAC outdoor championship to help the Aggies win another conference title as he finished first in the 1500m with a personal-best 3:55.00 … Finished second in the 800m (1:52.52) and third in the 3000m steeplechase (9:37.16).
2018-19 Indoor Season: Participated in six meets as a freshman at N.C. A&T after arriving at the university from Kenya … Made his collegiate indoor debut with a bang by winning the 3000m at the JDL College Classic Kick-off on Dec. 1 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C., as he crossed the finish line in 8:44.70 … Placed second at the Virginia Tech Invitational, Jan. 11-12, in the 800m by running a 1:54.09 … At the same meet, finished sixth in the mile with a time of 4:19.27 … Had another great showing at Virginia Tech the following week by finishing second in the 800m and 3000m … Ran a 1:52.27 in the 800 and a 8:26.47 in the 3000 … At the Carolina Challenge, Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the University of South Carolina, he finished second in the mile at 4:11.52 and third in the 5000m at 15:00.37 … Had another second-place finish in the mile at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Feb. 9 when he finished in 4:15.01 … His first appearance at the MEAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Landover, Md., Feb. 21-23, was spectacular … He had three first-place finishes to help the Aggies win the title as he finished first in the 800m (1:53.42), mile (4:20.32) and 5000m (15:02.85) … Was named the MEAC’s Most Outstanding Male Athlete as a freshman for his performances.
