Biography

Transferred to North Carolina A&T out of Butler Community College, where he was a National Junior College champion in the 100 and 60 meters ... Has served as a staple for the Aggies in the 100m, 60m and the 4x100-meter relay ... Has also helped A&T in the 200m ... During his time at A&T, he has come away with two first-team All-American honors, he qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round twice and won two conference event titles ... Won Big South Conference titles in the 4x100 (2022) and the 60m (2022) ... Helped the Aggies win the 2020 MEAC indoor championship. 

2022 Outdoor Season: Competed in nine meets during the season ... Helped the 4x100 team of Randolph Ross Jr., Malcolm Croom-McFadden and Javonte' Harding finish eighth nationally at the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field on June 10 with a time of 39.35 ... All four men earned first-team All-American honors ... Qualified for the NCAA East Prelim in the 4x100 and 100m ... Helped the Aggies finish second at the school's first-ever Big South Conference outdoor championships by winning the 4x100 with a record-breaking 38.74 along with Ross Jr., Daniel Stokes and Harding on May 11 ... Wright also finishing second in the 100m with an A&T personal-best 10.15 ... Helped the Aggies 4x100 finish second at the prestigious Drake Relays in 39.65 along with Ross Jr., Stokes and Harding on April 28. 

2022 Indoor Season: Competed in five meets during the season ... Won the Big South title in the 60m with a time of 6.71 on Feb. 25 ... Also scored points for the Aggies in the 200m (21.79) by finishing fifth ... The Aggies finished third as a team ... Placed second in the 60m at the U of SC Indoor Open on Feb. 18 in 6.76 ... Ran one of the fastest 60m times in Big South history by running a 6.63 to finish third at Clemson's Tiger Paw Invite on Feb. 12. 

2021 Outdoor Season: Competed in six meets during the season ... Qualified for the NCAA East Prelim but was hampered by an injury sustained at the MEAC Outdoor championships three weeks prior ... Won the 100m at the prestigious Drake Relays in 10.37 ... Also at Drake Relays, helped the 4x100 team of Ross Jr., Stokes and Akeem Sirleaf place second (39.15) on April 24.

2021 Indoor Season: Competed in five meets during the season ... Placed fourth nationally in the 60m in 6.57 at the NCAA Indoor nationals, earning first-team All-American honors on March 13 ... Ran a personal-best 6.56 in the NCAA 60m prelim ... He went undefeated in the 60m during the regular season ... Won the 60m at Clemson's Tiger Paw Invite on Feb. 13 by running a 6.57 ... Also won the 60 at the South Carolina Invitational on Feb. 6 (6.64) ... Also earned victories in the 60m at the University of South Carolina's Carolina Challenge (6.65) on Jan. 23 and at the McGravy Green Invitational (6.70) on Jan. 16. 

2020 Outdoor Season: Season was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

2020 Indoor Season: Competed in four meets during the season ... Earned third-team all-conference honors by finishing third (6.69) at MEAC indoor championships on Feb. 29 ... Made his Aggies debut at Virginia Tech's Hokie Invitational, Jan. 24-25 ... Finished third in the 60 at the event by running a 6.70.
