Torrellas did not play in 2011 due to injury...Transferred
from Guilford Technical Community College, after playing there in 2010...Made 12
appearances for GTCC after competing for A&T in 2009... Looks to stay healthy
and appear from the bullpen for the Aggies in 2012.
2011 Season: Did not play during the season...
2010 Season: At
Guilford Technical Community College, Torrellas went 2-3 with a 5.59 ERA in 12
games...Allowed 12 earned runs on 14 hits with 14 walks and 22 strikeouts in 19.1
innings...Pitched a season-high 3.0 innings on Feb. 27 against Pitt Community
College...struck out a season-high four batters on Feb. 23 against Guilford
College JV and on April 7 against Patrick Henry Community College.
2009 Season: As a freshman for the Aggies, he played in
seven total games, making two starts...Posted an 0-2 record with a 10.24 ERA in
9.2 innings pitched...Tossed a season-high
4.0 innings on March 10 against USC Upstate...Torrellas fanned a season-high two
batters on March 18 at Wofford...Did not allow a run over 2.0 innings pitched in
three consecutive appearances from Feb. 24-March 5.
High School: At
Dudley High School, Torrellas was named to the all-conference team in 2007 and
2008...He was named Second-Team All-Area as a senior in 2008...He also earned the
Team MVP and Pitcher's Award in 2008...Played on the varsity team all four years
of high school, and also played basketball.
