Mackey will serve as an extra arm the Aggies can use this season while he develops his skills...Could be used as a reliever or an occasional starter on the weekdays.

High School: Mackey was a part the Holly Springs 4A state championship team...Played varsity baseball for two seasons...Ranked No. 53 in the state of North Carolina by MaxPreps.com his junior season.

Personal:  Full name is Joe Mackey...He is the son of Ed and Anne Mackey...Has one sibling, Sam....Majors in sports science and was born June 6, 1993...Hopes to play professional baseball and or work as a coach after graduation...Wants to post an ERA under 2.00 and to allow no more than two walks per game...Looks to help the Aggies have a winning season with another MEAC championship title, and to make it to the NCAA tournament.
