Men's Tennis Falls at Charlotte

The Aggies will play at NCCU on Thursday, April 1.

Freshman Eadwyn Bacar returns a shot for N.C. A&T men's tennis.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Carolina A&T fell to the Charlotte 49ers, 7-0, on Friday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex in non-conference men's tennis.

The Aggies (0-7) only had five players competing so there was no partner for sophomore Nolan Martino at the No. 3 doubles.

Senior Nicolas Arduh and freshman Eadwyn Bacar teamed at No. 2 doubles against Charlotte's Ignasi de Rueda and Collin Thompson, but the Aggie duo fell 6-1 and the Niners claimed the doubles point.

Collin Thompson (CLT) got the No. 6 singles win by default due to the shortened Aggies roster. Bacar was bested 6-0, 6-1 on the No. 5 court against Vanja Dobmjac while fellow freshman Esteban Lopez fell 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 2 game against No. 81 de Rueda.

In the last match of the day, Vasil Ivanov stumbled against Henry Lieberman 6-4, 6-2.

The Aggies will be back in action on Thursday, April 1 on the road against N.C. Central in Durham, N.C. at 1 p.m.
