A&T men’s tennis coach William Crutchfield’s program … Has tremendous skills on the court, and he is a very smart tennis player … Crutchfield describes him as fun to coach … Has a bright future with the men’s tennis program and looks to be a key player as the Aggies transition to the Big South Conference … Has already earned key wins over players from Duke, Bethune-Cookman and Davidson College.
 
2020 Season: Season was ended early because of the COVID-19 pandemic … before the season ended, he played in eight singles matches and four doubles matches … He posted a 3-5 record at a singles player and an 0-3 record with a doubles partner with one of those matches going unfinished … Seven of his nine singles matches came at No. 6 singles and three of his doubles matches came at No. 3 doubles … Earned his career signature win at Duke on Jan. 18 when he defeated Samir Agadi 7-6, 6-4 … Defeated Liberty’s William Barker 6-4, 7-5 at Liberty on Jan. 26 … Had a 6-2, 6-1 win over King University’s Robby Mayher on Feb. 23 … Played doubles with teammate Mark Puric twice and with Pablo Carranza and Jessie Simpson one time apiece.
 
2019 Season: Played in 17 singles matches and 14 doubles matches as a freshman at N.C. A&T … Went 3-14 as a singles player and 2-12 as a doubles player … Went 1-3 in singles play in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and 1-3 in doubles play in the conference … Won all three of his matches as the No. 6 singles player for the Aggies … Played five times at No. 5 singles … Won both of his doubles matches at the No. 3 doubles spot … Played twice at the No. 2 doubles spot … Teamed with Jordan Lawrence for all 14 doubles matches … Earned his first collegiate win on Feb. 16 when he traveled to Davidson College and defeated Matthew Rose 7-5, 6-2 … Earned a win in the MEAC when defeated Bethune-Cookman’s Jonathan Thomas 6-0, 6-0 … Also had a win over King University’s Jorge Rojas 6-3, 6-3 on Feb. 24 … On the same day, he teamed with Lawrence to defeat the King duo of Sebastian Lieflaende and Charles Jabaley 7-6 … Their other doubles win came against B-CU’s Victor Castro and Thomas 6-0.
 
High School: Attended and played high school tennis at Jay M. Robinson … He posted a 75-5 record as a high school standout qualified for the regional and state tournaments all four years of his career … As a senior, Martino advanced to the regional tournament before advancing all the way to the semifinals of the state tournament … Received offers from Methodist College, Brevard College and S.C.
