2009 Season: After a stellar freshman season, Long continued to make progress throughout his sophomore season...He also made an impact on special teams with several big punt returns during the year...Long also blocked a kick during the course of the season...Played a significant role on special teams against Winston-Salem State on Sept. 5...Blocked a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter that kept the scored tied at 10...Returned a punt 44 yards to start the fourth quarter...The return put the Aggies deep in Rams territory...Against Norfolk State on Sept. 12, returned his first interception of the season 40 yards to the Norfolk State 20-yard line to set up a 25-yard touchdown reception by Wallace Miles...The score moved the Aggies to within three at 13-10 at the end of the third quarter of a game the Aggies eventually won 17-10...Intercepted a pass in the end zone against Coastal Carolina on Sept. 26...Made school history on Oct. 31 at home against Bethune-Cookman when he alertly picked up a football the Wildcats thought they downed at the Aggies 4...It turned into a 96-yard punt return for a touchdown, the longest punt return in school history.
2008 Season: Played in 11 games with six starts last season...Made 36 tackles and broke up five passes... Twenty-five of Long's tackles were solo stops...In his debut as a player, made six tackles against Winston-Salem State on Sept. 6...Returned a kickoff 83 yards against N.C. Central on Oct. 4 to set up a 22-yard field goal by Eric Houston...Made eight tackles, broke up three passes and forced a game-winning fumble with just 46 seconds remaining in the game to help the Aggies defeat Howard 21-20 on Oct. 25...For his effort, he was named MEAC Rookie of the Week.
High School: Played four varsity seasons under Pete Gilchrist and Maurice Flowers...Named to the Charlotte Observer's first team...Was also named to the All-Mecklenburg County team...Had nine career interceptions, returned two of them for touchdowns and had three punt returns for touchdowns...Finished in the top 25 of his class.
