Had a breakout season in 2019 as he helped the Aggies win the MEAC championship and the HBCU national title … His excellent season resulted in third-team All-MEAC honors … Verbally committed to play at A&T in January of 2017 … Was announced as a signee on Feb. 1, 2017 … Also considered Lenoir Rhyne and Fayetteville State … Has tremendous agility and quickness … Has 4.7 speed and comes off the edge with a purpose... 2021 Season: He played in nine games with six starts ... Made nine tackles (two unassisted), 3 1/2 tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception ... Made four tackles and two tackles for loss against Monmouth on Oct. 30 ... Recorded his first career interception on Nov. 13 in a win over S.C. State.
2020 Season: The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancelation of the season.
2019 Season: Played in 12 games with four starts at defensive end … Named third-team All-MEAC at season’s end … Made 37 tackles (21 unassisted) with 11 tackles for loss (50 yards lost) and seven sacks (40 yards lost) … Ranked 48th in the nation and fourth in the MEAC in sacks per game (0.58) … Was tied for ninth in the league in tackles for loss per game (0.92) … Played on a defense that ranked sixth in the nation in total defense, fourth in rushing defense and 44th in passing yards allowed … The same defense ranked No. 1 in the MEAC in rush defense and total defense … Had his best game of the season on Nov. 23 in the Aggies 54-0 win over N.C. Central at BB&T Stadium when he made seven tackles (four unassisted) with 2 ½ tackles for loss and 2 ½ sacks … Made four tackles (two unassisted) and made two tackles and two sacks on the Aggies 34-31 overtime loss at Florida A&M on Oct. 20 … In the Aggies 64-44 Celebration Bowl win over Alcorn State in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, made four tackles (two unassisted) with 1 ½ tackles for loss on Dec. 21.
2018 Season: Played in three games last season without a start … Made five tackles (two unassisted) … Made two tackles (zero unassisted) in the Aggies 45-0 win over N.C. Central on Nov. 17.
2017 Season: Took a redshirt season.
High School: Posted 21 sacks as a senior as he earned defensive player of the year in the Big South Conference … Led the Huskies to an undefeated season in the Big South, and the Huskies won their first conference championship since 1996 … Also helped the Huskies win two playoff games before losing to eventual state champion Shelby … Harrell was a first-team All-Gazette selection.
