MILLS SPRING, SC – The North Carolina A&T women's golf team finished its time at the Bright's Creek Women's Invite at the par-72, 6,069-yard Bright's Creek golf course. A&T finished fourth with a three-round 117-over 981. Presbyterian College won the six-team event with an 82-over 946. Evansville finished second by a stroke, shooting an 83-over 947.
Individually, sophomore Vileska Gelpi led the Aggies with a 24-over 240 by shooting an 80 in each round. Gelpi finished tied for ninth, 19 strokes off the leader, Gardner-Webb's Neza Siftar, who finished 5-over 221. She was followed by PC's Sarah Boteler, followed in second place with a 12-over 228. GWU's Katelyn Griggs (230), Evansville's Kate Petrova (232) and PC's Mariana Polakova (232) rounded out the top-5.
Jayla Rogers had the second-lowest score for A&T by shooting a three-round 31-over 247. She finished a stroke ahead of her teammate, Kennedi Lee, who finished with a 32-over 248. A&T returns to action March 5-6 at the Starks Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.
