Aggie Women Look For Season Sweep of Rattlers

AGGIES OVERVIEW: North Carolina A&T finishes their two-game road trip in Florida with a contest at Florida A&M.  
Junior guard Deja Winters ranks 15th in the conference in scoring, while senior guard Cinia McCray ranks 17th.  Senior forward Le'on Hill ranks sixth in the conference in rebounding, junior forward Jayla Jones-Pack ranks ninth and Alexus Lessears is 12th (6.3).
Jones-Pack ranks fifth in the conference in field goal percentage (48.6). Lessears ranks seventh in shooting (48.0) and Winters is 10th (42.0). Winters is third in 3-point shooting at 36.8 percent.

FLORIDA A&M RATTLERS: FAMU has lost the last five games including an 82-56 loss to Howard on Saturday. The Rattlers are led by Alaina Rice with 10.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. Shalaunda Burney-Robinson averages 9.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.

The Series: The Aggies hold a 30-28 lead over the Rattlers, but FAMU leads the Aggies 16-9 in Tallahassee.

Rankings: The Aggies rank third in the MEAC and 10th in the nation turnovers forced per game (21.77). They lead the MEAC in field goal defense (34.1) and are third in in 3-point field goal defense (25.4). Nationally, they rank 11th in field goal defense and ninth in 3-point field goal defense.  

N.C. A&T is second in the conference and 37th nationally in total blocked shots (103). They rank second in the league and 37th in the nation in blocked shots per game (4.7). The Aggies lead the conference in scoring defense (55.2) and scoring margin (plus-11.1). They are 17th and 47th respectively in both categories nationally.

N.C. A&T leads the MEAC and ranks 17th in the nation in rebounds per game (42.91) with 42.91. They also lead the MEAC in rebounding margin (plus-6.5) and rank 54th nationally. The Aggies are second in the conference and 32nd nationally in total rebounds (944).

Career Watch: McCray has scored 962 career points and needs 38 points to become the 14th player in school history to reach 1,000.
Lessears ranks fourth all-time in school history in career rebounds with 799. She needs 30 to move into third place ahead of Tia Richardson (2000-04). Hill has 548 career rebounds and needs 14 rebounds to move into 11th place held by Tracey King (2010-14).

Lessears is one of five players in school history with 100-plus blocks with 108. She needs eight more to move into fourth place held by Lamona Smalley. Hill has 99 career blocks and needs one more to become the sixth player in school history with 100-plus blocks.
