GREENSBORO – Corbett Sport Center will get plenty of use between November and March.
The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University women's basketball team released its 2026-27 non-conference schedule on Thursday, along with the Coastal Athletic Association releasing the 2026-27 conference schedule. The Aggies will play 16 home games inside Corbett, including their home opener on Monday, Nov. 2, against Division II Wingate.
Before the conference portion of A&T's season begins, a number of mid-majors will visit Corbett. Before those games occur, the Aggies will also host Greensboro neighbor and Division III program Guilford College on Friday, Nov. 13.
Conference USA's (C-USA) Liberty Flames come to #ClubCorbett on Tuesday, Nov. 17. It will be their first visit to Corbett in three years. The last time they played there, the Aggies came away with a 56-47 win on Nov. 19, 2023. The Aggies are 6-8 all-time against Liberty. They will also host mid-majors from the Mid-American Conference in Bowling Green (Dec. 1), the C-USA in Kennesaw State (Dec. 12), and the Northeast Conference in St. Francis (Pa.) (Dec. 19).
A&T will play each of those schools for the first time. The Aggies will close out the home non-conference season on Dec. 29 with another first-time opponent in Division II Lander out of Greenwood, SC. Away from Corbett during the non-conference season, A&T will be up against some heavy hitters, starting with the Marshall Thundering Herd out of the Sun Belt Conference.
The Aggies will face the Herd in the Cam Henderson Center on Friday, Nov. 6, in Huntington, WVa. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since Dec. 11, 2010, when A&T defeated the Herd 57-53 in Huntington. Four days later, the Aggies head into Big 10 territory to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers for the first time in 14 years.
In their one and only meeting against Nebraska, the Aggies lost 68-50 on Nov. 19, 2012. They will also head to Annapolis, Md., to face Navy of the Patriot League on Friday, Nov. 20, at Alumni Hall. A&T is 2-4 all-time against Navy, with its last matchup a 72-49 loss in Maryland on Nov. 25, 2018.
A&T will also play away from home Nov. 27-28 in a Thanksgiving tournament hosted by the University of North Florida. The Aggies face Abilene Christian University on Friday, Nov. 27, before meeting host UNF on Saturday, Nov. 28. Their final road non-conference game takes place on Wednesday, Dec. 16, against archrival North Carolina Central University (NCCU). It will be the 58th meeting between the two teams, with A&T leading 46-11. The Aggies won last year's matchup 73-67 in Durham, NC.
Conference play starts with the New Year. A&T will open CAA play on Friday, January 1, against Hampton at Corbett. Hampton leads the series, 29-20. The Aggies also host Stony Brook (Jan. 8), Drexel (Jan. 10), Monmouth (Jan. 29), UNCW (Jan. 31), Hofstra (Feb. 12), William & Mary (Feb. 21), Elon (Feb. 26), and Campbell (Feb. 28).
The Aggies' first road conference game is in Wilmington at UNCW. A&T leads the all-time series, 7-2. The two teams split their two games last season. Other road CAA games include Charleston (Jan. 15), Elon (Jan. 17), Northeastern (Jan. 24), Hampton (Feb. 5), William & Mary (Feb. 7), Campbell (Feb. 14), Towson (March 4), and Hofstra (March 6).
The 2027 CAA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament will take place, March 10-14 at First CareArena in Washington, DC. The Aggies are coming off a 12-18 season overall and a 7-11 mark in the conference.
