AGGIES OVERVIEW: North Carolina A&T has lost four-straight, most recently at VCU. The Aggies were picked to finish second in the Southern division of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and have two preseason all-conference players in third-team member Tyler Maye and preseason player of the year Kameron Langley. The Aggies leading scorer is junior guard Blake Harris at 9.7 points per game. Harris is also the best free throw shooter on the team at 93 percent. N.C. A&T continues to struggle on the boards, surrendering just under 45 rebounds per game and bringing in 30.6 per game. Head coach Will Jones is in his first full season after serving in an interim capacity part of last year and has an overall record of 16-10 (.615). 
 
CATAMOUNTS OVERVIEW: The Catamounts are riding a four-game winning streak and coming off an overtime thriller against Tennessee Tech. WCU was picked to finish sixth in both the coaches and media Southern Conference (SoCon) preseason polls. Redshirt senior guard Mason Faulkner was named to the preseason all-conference team for the second straight year. Last season, Faulkner recorded the first triple-double in WCU's Division I era history against N.C. A&T with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. This season, he is averaging 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 45.1 percent from the field. Third-year head coach Mark Prosser has an overall record of 31-38 and is 1-0 against N.C. A&T.
