GREENSBORO – The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University men's basketball non-conference schedule is not quite to completion yet, but the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) released the conference schedule on Thursday with key league matchups beginning for the Aggies on New Year's Eve.

A&T and Elon will renew their local rivalry on Thursday, December 31, at the Schar Center on the campus of Elon University, about 25 miles away from the east side of Greensboro. The Aggies are 13-8 all-time against the Phoenix and 4-4 against their Piedmont Triad area rivals since joining the CAA in 2022. Their conference start continues with another important road game at the College of Charleston Cougars.

The Cougars are a perennial power in the CAA. Charleston has won at least 20 games over the past four seasons, and the Cougars are 6-0 against A&T in conference play since the start of the 2022-23 season. Other road games include Campbell (Jan. 9), Towson (Jan. 21), Drexel (Jan. 23), Hofstra (Feb. 4), Northeastern (Feb. 6), Hampton (Feb. 18), and UNCW (Feb. 25).

Before facing the UNCW Seahawks on the road Feb. 25, UNCW will visit Corbett Sports Center on Thursday, Jan. 7, for A&T's CAA home opener. The Seahawks are another power in the league, winning the regular-season title last season. They have won at least 20 games in six straight seasons, and the Aggies are 0-6 against them since joining the CAA.

A&T's next home CAA game is a week later against the Stony Brook Seawolves. The Aggies lost a thrilling 81-80 matchup to the Seawolves last season in New York. Stony Brook's last visit to Corbett resulted in a 73-72 A&T win on Feb. 22, 2025, the Aggies' Senior Day. A&T is 2-5 against the Seawolves in conference play.

The Aggies' other home CAA games are against Charleston (Jan. 16), Hampton (Jan. 18), Monmouth (Jan. 28), Elon (Feb. 11), Drexel (Feb. 13), William & Mary (Feb. 20), and Campbell (Feb. 27). The matchup against Hampton on Jan. 18 will take place on Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. A&T is 34-40 all-time against Hampton and 6-4 since the two longtime HBCU rivals joined the CAA.

The 2027 CAA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament is March 5-9 at CareFirst Arena in Washington, DC. The Aggies were 11-19 overall and 4-14 in CAA play last season.
