AGGIES OVERVIEW:Â North Carolina A&T is coming off a tough loss to Bradley last Saturday. Sophomore forward
Tyrone Lyons did, however, score a career-high 17 points. A&T boasts the second-best scoring defense in the MEAC, allowing just 68.0 points per game. The Aggies have two players in the top 30 scorers in the conference in
Ronald Jackson and
Tyler Maye (9.3 points per game). Maye has missed the previous two games with an injury. N.C. A&T has struggled from the free throw line this season shooting just 60 percent as a team. Against Bradley, however, the Aggies shot a season-best 89.5 percent (17-for-19). Â

UTEP OVERVIEW:Â The Miners are 6-0 at home this season and coming off a 59-50 victory over Arkansas Pine-Bluff. The Miners were projected to finish tied for fourth in Conference USA (C-USA) this year. UTEP has six transfers on their roster this year including Bryson Williams who is averaging a team-high 19.4 points per game. Williams was rated a top-five Division I transfer by CBBCentral. The Miners are led by head coach Rodney Terry, who is in his second year at the helm of the program. Terry has a career record of 13-21 at UTEP.

- This is the Aggies first time participating in the Don Haskins Invitational.
- A&T will play either UC-Irvine or Kent State on Dec. 17.
