NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES: North Carolina A&T looks to make it four in a row hosting crosstown rival UNC Greensboro at Corbett Sports Center in the final home game of 2019.
During the three-game winning streak, the Aggies have outscored their opponents 90-53 in the second half including outscoring St. Augustine's 45-26 in a 75-44 win.
In the St. Augustine's win, senior guard C'coriea Foy led the team with 23 points and added five rebounds and three steals. Senior guard Cinia McCray added 13 points and eight rebounds and junior guard Deja Winters added 10 points and six assists.
Winters ranks second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in scoring. Senior center Alexus Lessears leads the team in rebounds and ranks 13th in the MEAC. She ranks sixth in the conference in blocks at 1.1 per game. McCray averages 8.4 points and junior forward Jayla Jones-Pack averages 7.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and a team-best 1.6 blocks, which ranks third in the conference.
UNC GREENSBORO: UNC Greensboro has won five of the last six games including a 64-49 win last Saturday the last time out. The Spartans are led by Nadine Soliman with 20.3 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game. Te'ja Twitty averages 12.3 points and 6.5 rebounds and Aja Boyd averages 12.0 points and 7.5 rebounds.
Rankings: The Aggies are second in the MEAC and 33rd in the nation with 42 blocked shots. 33rd They lead the conference and rank 19th nationally in blocks per game (5.3).
N.C. A&T leads the MEAC with 24.88 turnovers forced. It ranks fifth in the NCAA. The Aggies lead the conference and rank 88th in the nation in scoring at 71.3 with 71.3 points per game.
Career Watch: Foy has 911 career points and needs 89 points to become the 14th player in school history to score 1,000 career points.
Lessears has 727 career rebounds and needs 48 rebounds to move into fourth place held by Helena Creamer (1987-91).
Lessears and Hill are both in the top-10 in blocks. Lessears recorded four blocks against Morehead State to become the fifth Aggie to record 100-plus blocks in her career. She has 103 blocks and needs 13 blocks to move into fourth place held by Lamona Smalley with 115 blocks (2006-10).
Hill has 82 career blocks, which ranks ninth place in school history and needs 10 blocks to move into eighth place held by Nikia Gorham with 91 blocks from 2009-13.
