Aggies Lose at The Super Pit

DENTON, Texas – North Carolina A&T had two players score in double figures but fell to North Texas 80-60 Tuesday night at The Super Pit (UNT Coliseum).

N.C. A&T's overall record fell to 1-4 after the loss.

Ronald Jackson led the Aggies against the Mean Green with 15 points and eight rebounds. Tyrone Lyons tacked on 12 points from off the bench and Kameron Langley added eight points, five assists and two steals.

Led by Jackson's four offensive rebounds, N.C. A&T did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 11 boards that resulted in 10 second-chance points.

N.C. A&T did a great job disrupting North Texas shots in the contest, coming away with five blocks. Lyons' one rejection led the way individually for the Aggies.

N.C. A&T struggled out of the gate, falling behind 32-20 heading into halftime.

N.C. A&T came out of halftime clicking on all cylinders, going on a 7-0 run to shrink the deficit to 32-27 with 17:51 to go in the contest. North Texas responded with a 12-0 run that resulted in the Mean Green a 45-29 lead with 13:08 remaining in the game.

The Aggies never got any closer than 14 the rest of the way. N.C. A&T got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 13 of its 40 total points.

N.C. A&T will now travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica to play in the Jamaica Classic from Nov. 22-24. The Aggies first opponent will be Nicholls.
