Biography

For her entire career she has been a player who has provided the Aggies a spark off bench with her energy and enthusiasm…Waddell is an excellent rebounder and her long arms contributes to her being an outstanding helper on defense…Provides the Aggies with a player who can step out and hit 10-15 footers…Also provides the Aggies with a four-year senior who has been a part of two regular-season MEAC Championships, a tournament championship and an NCAA appearance…Played a big part in the Aggies success when she was a freshman…Averaged 6.0 rebounds after the team’s top rebounder when Lamona Smalley went down with a season-ending knee injury and missed the last 14 games of the season…Waddell even earned MEAC Rookie of the Year honors for her play…Played an important role late in the 2008-09 season, making starts in the MEAC Championship Game against Hampton and the NCAA Tournament game against Florida State…For her career, she has scored 167 points, grabbed 212 rebounds and blocked 38 shots in 1,010 minutes played…She has played in 76 games with 12 starts…Waddell has led the Aggies in rebounding nine times during her career and has two career double-doubles.

2008-2009: Played in 20 games with two starts...Averaged 1.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.5 blocks and 10.1 minutes per game...Made her most significant impact of the season on Jan. 19... Waddell entered the game with a little more than 10 minutes remaining in a game against Delaware State where the Aggies trailed by 15 points...Waddell scored eight points, grabbed three rebounds and blocked a shot in a come-from-behind 56-51 victory...Made her first start of the season against Hampton in the MEAC Championship Game on March 14...Played a season-high 31 minutes, grabbed four rebounds and had two steals in the 76-54 win at Lawrence Joel Coliseum...Made another start against No. 3 seed Florida State in the NCAA Tournament and scored two points and grabbed two rebounds.

2007-2008: Played in 26 games with no starts for the Aggies...Averaged 1.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.4 blocks in just 8.2 minutes per game...Shot .324 from the field and .750 from the free throw line...Played more than 20 minutes only once...Scored four points and had one rebound in that game, which was an Aggies win over Howard on Feb. 2...Had her best game of the season against Winston-Salem State on Jan. 26 when she grabbed 10 rebounds, had four points and blocked three shots in an Aggies win.

2006-2007: Played 30 games with eight stats as a freshman...Ranked second on the team in field goal percentage (.447), third on the team in rebounds (4.4) and was third on the team in blocked shots (0.6)...Averaged 3.4 points, shot .619 from the free throw line and averaged 19.8 minutes per game…Played 30 or minutes five times during the season...Led the Aggies in rebounding eight times and recorded two double-doubles...Made eight straight starts between Jan. 22 and Feb. 17...Averaged 5.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 29.0 minutes and made seven blocks while shooting .476 from the field and .778 from the free throw line during that span...Made her first career start on Jan. 22 against Morgan State...She scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, blocked five shots, had three steals on 4-for-6 shooting in the game...Her performance earned her MEAC Rookie of the Week honors...Recorded her first career double-double on Jan. 8 as she recorded 13 points and 12 rebounds (eight came on the offensive end), while hitting all five of her free throws in the game to help the Aggies defeat Howard 87-73...Posted her second double-double on the season on Jan. 27 with 10 points and 13 rebounds on 5-for-7 shooting in a 86-58 win over Norfolk State...Had 13 points, five rebounds and two blocks, while hitting all five of her shots from the field to help the Aggies defeat Norfolk State on the road 83-77.
