Biography

Hill looks to add to her many accolades as she enters her senior season...She comes into the season with more than 100 hits, 100 RBIs and more than 30 doubles...As a sophomore, she earned MEAC Player of the Year honors along third-team All-American recognition...Hill possesses power, but she gathers most of her success by being a contact hitter...She has been excellent with runners on scoring position because she routinely makes contact...She is a career .316 hitter with a .518 slugging percentage and 13 home runs...She has played in 142 games with 140 career starts.

2010: Played in 48 games with 47 starts...Batted .267 with two home runs and 24 RBIs...Also recorded eight doubles and four triples...She hit .313 with runners on base versus hitting .209 with no one on base...Hill also hit .365 with runners in scoring position...During the season, she was 16-for-55 when batting with two outs in an inning...When she had an opportunity to advance runners, she completed the task 45 percent of the time...Had an outstanding game against N.C. State as she went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a home run in a 5-4 loss...Went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and posted three RBIs in a 9-0 win over S.C. State on April 3...Helped the Aggies advance in the MEAC Tournament by going 1-for-3, including a two-run RBI double, as the Aggies defeated Coppin State 10-0...Hours later, she had two hits and scored a run in an 8-0 win over S.C. State at the tournament.

2009: Played in 49 games with 49 starts...Earned MEAC Player of the Year honors along with third-team All-American accolades...Batted .361 with five home runs and 46 RBIs...She ranked 150th in the nation in batting, 31st in RBIs and 25th in doubles...Hill led the conference in RBIs and ranked third in batting average...She posted an impressive 60 hits on the season with 23 of those hits coming as extra base hits...Twenty-four of Hill's 46 RBIs came with two outs in the inning...Against conference opponents, she hit .403 with runners in scoring position, and she was 23-for-66 when batting with two outs in the inning...Out of the 102 opportunities she had to advance runners, Hill advanced those runners 54 times...She only left 28 runners on base the entire season...During a doubleheader against Savannah State on March 5, she recorded a combined six RBIs, scored three runs and posted six hits, including a home run...Recorded a triple, double and four RBIs in a 7-2 win over Gardner-Webb on March 11...In a 9-4 win over Appalachian State on March 19, Hill posted three hits, scored once and had four RBIs...Went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs in an 11-3 win over N.C. Central on April 2...During the second game of the doubleheader against N.C. Central, she went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs as the Aggies defeated the Eagles 11-9.

2008: Played in 45 games with 44 starts...Batted .314 with six home runs and 37 RBIs...She was second on the team and fourth in the MEAC in slugging percentage at .557...She posted eight doubles and four triples and 18 of her 44 hits were extra base hits...She was second on the team and fourth in the MEAC in RBIs...Posted a .333 batting average against conference foes, including six RBIs, 10 runs scored and two extra base hits...She recorded 11 multiple hit games...Batted an impressive .378 with runners in scoring position...With runners on third with less than two outs, Hill was 7-for-11...In just her second collegiate game, she ripped a grand slam off of Southern University on Feb. 10...Recorded two hits, scored twice and registered three RBIs in an 8-7 win over Gardner-Webb on Feb. 20...During the week of April 7-13, she had 11 hits eight RBIs, eight runs scored, three extra base hits in helping the Aggies go 5-1 for the week, including two conference wins...For her efforts, Hill earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors...Within those stretch of games, Hill went 3-for-4 with a triple and a home run and had four RBIs in helping the Aggies defeat Savannah State 18-0 on April 9...Recorded her second career grand slam on April 22 as she helped the Aggies defeat Appalachian State 8-0.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER:

Played four varsity seasons under head coach Holder at Independence High School...She also played basketball at Independence...Hill is a two-time softball MVP...Hit .443 as a senior, which earned her All-Mecklenburg County honors and a Bojangle's Player of the Week honor. She is a three-time All-MECA-8 performer as well as a two-time Independence High MVP winner....As a member of the Cabarrus County Challengers, a  travel team, Hill has hit a combined .405 with 10 home runs the past three seasons...She led the Challengers to a 39-7 record and helped them earn a bid to the ASA 18-and-under National Championship Tournament in Kentucky...While there, she hit a 3-run walk-off home run to win a game... In 2004, she was awarded the Leading Offensive Award...Hill was a member of the National Honor Society and the A/B Honor Roll.
