N.C. A&T CAREER:
The Aggies need someone to replace the defensive presence of Lillian Bullock in the field and her power at the plate...Chappell should provide both...Comes to N.C. A&T with an excellent reputation as a middle infielder, and she should hit her way into the middle of the Aggies lineup...Chappell will be another in a long line of excellent student-athletes who have played for head coach Mamie Jones.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER:
Played four varsity seasons at East Montgomery High School under head coach Jennifer Fountain...Named all-conference all four years of her career...Named to the All-District team as a junior and senior...Earned All-State accolades her senior season as she led EMHS in batting (.500), home runs (6) and slugging percentage (.974)...Also compiled 39 hits, 28 runs and 26 RBIs...She is EMHS' all-time home run leader...High school career also included being named Rookie of the Year, and she earned the Coach's Varsity Softball Award three times...Academically, she ranked 7^th in grade point average for her 2010 senior class...Made the honor roll all four years and was a member of the National Honors Society...Chappell was also a North Carolina Scholar Athlete all four years and had perfect attendance throughout high school.

PERSONAL:
Full name is Morgan Elizabeth Chappell...She is the daughter of Chris and Darlene Chappell...She has two siblings, Madison and Meredith...She is a sports science major born July 27, 1992...She is also known as "Mo" and "Wooty" ... During a 16-and-under softball game, Chappell came to the plate with the bases loaded and her team down by two runs...She hit her first ever home run, a grand slam, to lead her team to victory...It is her favorite softball moment...Loves to watch CSI because she loves mystery and suspense...She also considered UNC Wilmington, Charlotte, Campbell, Methodist and Appalachian State...Softball is what Chappell turns to on a bad day...It relieves her stress and allows her to have fun.
