N.C. A&T CAREER:
Gillard is outstanding athlete who should bring power and defense to the Aggies lineup over the next four years...Brings versatility to the Aggies' defense with her ability to play first base and catcher...Should work her way into the middle of the Aggies lineup to become a major run producer.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER:
Played her varsity softball at Lake Howell High School...Also played on the Puerto Rick Olympic team...Earned multiple first-team all-conference honors...Was also named honorable mention during her career...Team Player of the Year honors came her way as a senior...She also earned the Coach's Award.

PERSONAL:
Full name is Dominique J. Gillard...She is the daughter of Roland and Debbie Gillard...She has two siblings, Derek and Ryan...Gillard is an animal science/social work major who was born on April 20, 1992...She is also known as "Nique"... Her first softball memory was playing catcher when she was younger... Everyone told her she had the best arm, but looking back on it she disagrees...Her favorite softball was hitting a game-winning home run on Senior Night...Said she would be lost without the game of softball because it helps her get away from any problems she may have.
