Cooper fits right in with head coach Jerry Eaves' system...He is a big guard who likes to shoot the ball from the outside...Likes to score the basketball, and has no issues with taking big shots...What Eaves likes the most is that he can shoot the three off the dribble...Can hit the runner going both ways, and he is an above average ball handler.

High School Career: Played varsity basketball at Tyner Academy and Mallard Creek in Charlotte, N.C...Played two seasons at Mallard Creek before transferring to Tyner Academy...Missed a season after sustaining a broken leg and ankle...Earned all-conference honors twice...Was also a two-time team MVP...Won the conference scoring title as a senior...Also led his team to the conference championship.
