Came into the 2017 season as a preseason All-MEAC selection as a defensive lineman after being named a 2016 All-MEAC performer … Injuries derailed his chances at becoming a two-time All-MEAC selection in 2017 but returns for his senior season with the same expectations he had coming into his junior year … Outstanding run stopper and should help keep the Aggies ranked as one of the best run defenses in the nation … Has been a part of two MEAC title, Celebration Bowl and HBCU National Championship teams … Redshirted his first season as an Aggie before earning playing time in 2015 … Has an impressive 101-inch reach … In 27 career games, he has made 17 starts with 61 tackles (34 unassisted), with 14.5 tackles for loss and four sacks … Gets good penetration into the opponents’ backfield off the snap … Is also a good pass rusher from the interior … Was announced as an Aggie on National Signing Day in 2014 … McKnight was the only defensive lineman signed that day.
2017 Season: Played seven games with five starts … Made 20 tackles (eight unassisted), 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks … Also forced a fumble and broke up two passes during the season … Made two tackles for loss at Florida A&M in a 31-20 Aggies win on Oct. 14 … Made four tackles (two unassisted) including a tackle for loss in the Aggies 45-3 win over Gardner-Webb on Sept. 2.
2016 Season: Started all 12 games … Made 30 tackles (18 unassisted), seven tackles for loss and 1 ½ sacks … Made four unassisted tackles in a 45-14 win over Delaware State on Nov. 12 … Made four tackles including a sack in a 35-0 win over Norfolk State on Oct. 6.
2015 Season: Played in eight games without a start … Made 11 tackles (eight unassisted) in a backup role at nose guard … Made a season-best five tackles at Norfolk State on Oct. 10 … Two of his tackles went for loss in the Aggies win … Had two tackles including a TFL at Hampton on Oct. 3.
2014 Season: He took a redshirt season.
High School: Played at Rockdale County High School under head coach Venson Elder…As a senior, made 44 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, six sacks and he forced three fumbles…Named Region 2 Class 6A first team and first-team all-county…Selected to the NUC All-South Classic All-Star Game…Also named to the Florida vs. Georgia High School All-Star Game.
