Has been a superstar 400m runner for the Aggies since she arrived in Aggieland … Has tremendous burst toward the end of the lap and has great endurance to finish races … Has proven to be a leader for the team and is one-fourth of one of the best 4x400 teams in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and region … Has competed in a whopping 45 meets during her career … Has won a combined 11 MEAC titles (indoor and outdoor) … Has qualified for the NCAA outdoor nationals and the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round two times apiece … Has finished in first place 20 times and has 49 top-5 career finishes.
2020 Outdoor Season: Season was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019-20 Indoor Season: Competed in five races … Completed an indoor career where she helped the Aggies win four straight MEAC indoor championships … At the MEAC indoor event at Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Complex, she completed her career undefeated the 4x400 at the MEAC indoors by crossing in 3:42.07 … Scored seven points in the 400m by finishing third in 55.00 … Helped the 4x400 team finish second at the Jim Green Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky, Jan. 10-11, at 3:40.65 … Two weeks later the 4x400 team won the Hokie Invitational at Virginia Tech at 3:40.01 … At the same event, finished second in the 200m (23.90) and third in the 400m (53.62).
2019 Outdoor Season: Competed in seven meets as a junior … Qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas, June 5-8, in the 400m, the 4x100 and the 4x400 … Earned first-team All-American honors in the 4x100 by helping the team finish sixth in the nation in 43.09 … Also qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round, May 23-25, in Jacksonville, Fla., in the 400m, 4x100 and the 4x400 … Qualified for NCAA nationals in the 400m by running a personal-best 52.35 at the East prelims … Rebounded from a difficult 2018 outdoor championships with a redemptive performance that included winning the 400m (52.73) and the 4x400 (3:35.59).
2018-19 Indoor Season: Competed in four meets during the season … Helped the Aggies capture their third straight indoor MEAC title, Feb. 21-23 at the Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Md., by finishing first in the 4x400 for the third straight season, this time in 3:43.24 … At the same event, added six points to the Aggies totals by finishing the 200m in fourth place at 24.49 … Won the 400m at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational, Feb. 8-9, by crossing the finish line in 54.58.
2018 Outdoor Season: Competed in seven meets during the outdoor season … Qualified for the NCAA Division East Preliminary Round, May 24-26, in Tampa, Fla., in the 400m, 4x100 and 4x400 … Helped the Aggies to a second-place finish at the MEAC outdoor championships at N.C. A&T’s Irwin Belk Track by helping the 4x100 (44.38) and 4x400 (3:36.96) teams finish first … Also had the fastest 400m qualifying time at the event (53.65) … Opened the season by helping the 4x100 team win at the Weems Baskin Relays in 45.39 … Had a second-place finish in the 400m at the Aggie Invitational, April 13-14, hosted by N.C. A&T by finishing in 53.85 … At the same event, helped the 4x400 team win at 3:38.34 … Finished third in the 4x100 at the LSU Invitational on April 28 by finishing with an impressive time of 44.52.
2017-18 Indoor Season: Competed in seven races during her second season in Aggieland … Helped the Aggies win their second straight MEAC indoor title by finishing first in the 400m and 4x400 … Finished the 400m in 54.99 and the 4x400 in 3:44.22 at the Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Complex, Feb. 15-17 … Also added four points by finishing sixth in the 200m in 24.59 … Opened the season with a big showing at the JDL College Kick-off Classic on Dec. 2 inside the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C., as she finished second in the 200m (25.06) and 4x400 (3:49.66) … Helped the 4x400 team win at the Liberty Kickoff, Jan. 26-27, by finishing in 3:44.84 … At the same event, she placed second in the 400m in 55.90 and fourth in the 200m at 24.28 …The 4x400 team also had a win at the JDL Last Chance Invitational on Feb. 25 at 3:43.58.
2017 Outdoor Season: Competed in eight meets as a freshman outdoor athlete … Qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, June 7-10, in the 4x100 … Helped the Aggies 4x400 team claim MEAC gold at the MEAC outdoor championships, May 4-6, at N.C. A&T’s Irwin Belk Track by finishing in 3:42.60 … At the same event, scored six points for the Aggies in helping them win the MEAC women’s title by finishing fourth in the 400m at 55.12 … Had a good showing at the Spec Towns Invitational hosted by the University of Georgia, April 7-9, as she finished fourth in the 400m (55.46) and second in the 4x100 (44.51) … The following week at the Aggie Invitational hosted by N.C. A&T at Irwin Belk Track, she helped the 4x100 team win in 44.51.
2016-17 Indoor Season: Competed in seven meets as a true freshman … Played a major role in the Aggies winning the first of four straight MEAC indoor titles by finishing first twice in Landover, Md., at the Prince George’s County Sports & Learning Complex as she won her first MEAC individual title by finishing the 400m in 55.77 … She also aided the 4x400 team in finishing first place in 3:46.63 … Opened the season by helping the 4x400 team win at the UNCG Early Bird Duals on Dec. 4 as the foursome finished in 3:50.41 … Ray’s 4x400 team finished second at the Virginia Tech Invitational, Jan. 13-14, as they stopped the clock at 3:45.98 … The following week at Virginia Tech, they finished second again, this time at the Hokie Invitational with a time of 3:46.01.
High School: Attended and competed in track and field at Hampton High School … Qualified for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals as a senior … Won the coveted triple crown at the Virginia Class 5A/6A state outdoor title as a senior by winning the 100m (11.95), the 200m (24.31) and the 400m (55.27) … Finished second at the state meet in the long jump (18-feet, 6 ¼-inches) … Ran a personal-best in the 100m as a senior by running an 11.88 at the Hampton Relays … Won the Peninsula District 10 Team Pre-District Meet in the 100mh (15.85) … As a senior indoor athlete, won the state title in the 55m (7.13), 55mh (8.32), the long jump (18-feet, ½-inch) and 300m (39.69) … Qualified for the New Balance Indoor Nationals as a senior in the 60m, 60mh and 200m.
