THE AGGIES MAKE A TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO WNAA RADIO
North Carolina A&T football returned to WNAA 90.1 FM last week after a 12-year absence. The Aggies' game at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in Durham, NC, aired on the legendary station, with Donal Ware on play-by-play and Eric Curry as analyst. The last A&T game on WNAA was also against NCCU in Durham, on Nov. 22, 2014, and marked the final game for longtime play-by-play announcer Spencer Gwynn. Home game analyst Al Swann also joined the broadcast team alongside Billy Covington.

WHITE RETURNED TO NCCU WITH BETTER ENDING
For North Carolina A&T junior quarterback Kevin White, the road back to the field has been anything but easy. After a severe, season-ending injury during the 2024 season and another major setback during spring practice in 2025 that delayed his return, White started against NCCU last Saturday, where he sustained the injury that ended his season in 2024. White threw for 259 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions on 21-for-44 passing. The last time he played at O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium, he left late in the first quarter with a shoulder injury. A late-game drive to tie the game would have made for a great ending in A&T's 30-22 loss.

White made his 19^th career start, making him the most experienced QB on the A&T roster. He was the starting quarterback at Norfolk State in 2023, the last time the Aggies won a road game. The injuries shifted White's focus from competing on the field to understanding his role as a leader during a long recovery. While the injuries kept him from making an impact on the field, White remained committed to his recovery, putting in the day-by-day work needed to return to the player he knew he could be. After months of rehabilitation, White felt confident heading into the 2026 season and was excited for the opportunity.

After all, White knew he had the fortitude to fight back from his 2025 spring injury and play during the 2025 season, when that seemed impossible. He returned against, you guessed it, NCCU. White threw for 232 yards while completing 62 percent of his passes in his 2025 return, showing the resilience that carried him through another difficult setback.

THE FIGHTING CAMELS
Ignore what happened in the Swamp last week. The University of Florida, from the SEC, defeated Campbell 52-3. The Gators are in a different class. But before facing a Power Four school, the Fighting Camels' offense has been tremendous. They went to East Tennessee State and poured in 49 points in Johnson City, Tenn., in a 49-37 win. The following week, the Camels invited 24th-ranked Western Carolina to The Creek and defeated the Catamounts 28-19. In their first two games, the Camels compiled 1,042 yards of offense, mostly through the air. The man throwing the passes is senior quarterback Kamden Sixkiller.

Sixkiller threw for 343 yards and two touchdowns on 29-for-42 passing against ETSU before posting 330 yards passing, two touchdowns, and three touchdowns on 29-for-44 passing. Against the Aggies last season, Sixkiller threw 44 times, completing 27 passes for 255 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The Camels bring in the No. 1 passing offense in the CAA and the 14th-ranked passing offense in the country. They also have the league's No. 1 offense. Spencer Jones leads the receivers with 15 catches for 203 yards and a touchdown, while Steven Keener has 11 catches for 144 yards and a touchdown. Jon Gullette has 12 catches for 79 yards.

Campbell plays in its CAA opener on Saturday. The Camels were picked to finish eighth in the preseason. Coming off a 2-10 season, they went 2-6 in conference play with wins over Bryant and Hampton.
