GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T played it cool over the weekend in unusual cold temperatures at the Marcus T. Johnson Track Complex.
The North Carolina A&T men's and women's outdoor track and field programs hosted their second meet of the season, the Aggie Classic, on Friday and Saturday. With the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships approaching, the Aggies did not field many of their nationally or regionally ranked student-athletes, but still posted some excellent performances, mainly in the field events.
Freshman thrower
Everett Alston and sophomore thrower
Alex Henry led the way. Alston secured wins in the men's discus and javelin, while Henry won the men's hammer throw and finished second in the shot put. The Aggies also secured wins in the women's 4x100-meter relay, the men's 1500 meters, and the women's discus.

Henry entered the weekend with the league's top ranking in the hammer after his 190 feet, 5 inches mark at High Point University on March 20. On Saturday, Henry won the event with a throw of 177 feet, 8 inches.
Henry placed second in the shot put with a throw of 52 feet, 2 inches. He currently holds the third-best shot put in the CAA due to a 56 feet, 4 ½ inches mark recorded at Duke University on April 10. The Aggies had three top-five jumpers in the men's high jump. Freshman

Baker's high jump mark ranks as the fourth-best in the conference. Sophomore
Rayne Williams cleared 6 feet, 4 ¾ inches for third place, while graduate
