EUGENE, Ore. – North Carolina A&T's 2026 men's and women's outdoor track and field seasons ended on Saturday.
A day after the men earned 11 first-team All-American recognitions from eight student-athletes, the women took their turn on Saturday to seek All-American accolades from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) during the final day of the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at historic Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus.

Spirit Morgan, the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) indoor Co-Field Athlete of the Year, came into Saturday trying to improve on her ninth-place finish and second-team All-American status from last outdoor season. Morgan's best jump Saturday measured 5 feet 10 ½ inches. She finished 13th, behind winner and event national champion Temitope Adeshina of Texas Tech.
Morgan's 13th-place finish earned her a second straight second-team All-American recognition. In two seasons in Aggieland, she became the most decorated female high jumper in program history. She won the high jump event a school-record seven times indoors and three times outdoors. Morgan will end her career with six of the seven best jumps in school history, becoming one of only two Aggies to ever clear six feet outdoors.
In addition to her two second-team All-American outdoor recognitions and conference indoor co-field athlete of the year award, Morgan won the CAA indoor high jump title twice and the CAA outdoor high jump title once. She did not compete in the 2026 CAA outdoor championships due to injury, but she returned for the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round in May to jump 5 feet, 11 ½ inches and post the second-best qualifying jump out of the East.

Olivia Dowd also competed on Saturday in the triple jump. She came into the competition already an historic figure, having become the first female student-athlete in school history to qualify for nationals in the event in 2025.
On Saturday, the former walk-on turned her second consecutive opportunity at nationals into an 18th-place finish. Dowd jumped 42 feet to earn honorable mention All-American honors for the second straight season. She ended a career that began with a simple tryout for the women's track and field program, turning into one of the most successful female pit jumpers in program history.
She is a two-time outdoor CAA triple jump champion. She won the CAA long jump title in May for the first time in her career. Dowd also has a CAA indoor triple jump title. She has won an indoor triple jump event three times, an outdoor triple jump event five times, and an outdoor long jump event twice.
The Aggies conclude another outstanding outdoor season, with the men winning their second consecutive CAA outdoor title. The women finished fourth at conference championships. The men's and women's programs also outpaced the conference by sending 22 student-athletes to the NCAA East First Round event at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.
