GREENSBORO – The North Carolina A&T women's tennis team had a season of firsts. On Friday, the program got another first.

The Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) released its postseason accolades on Friday, highlighting another milestone for the Aggies. Head coaches voted El Sherif third-team All-CAA, making her the first Aggie to earn all-conference honors since Fabiana Ramirez earned second-team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) honors in 2019. El Sherif is now one of only three players in program history to earn all-conference honors, joining Ramirez and Winnie Quick, who captured second-team All-MEAC accolades in 2009.

"Hana had an amazing second half of the season and really stepped up when the team needed her most," said director of tennis Dejon Bivens. "Her leadership, composure, and ability to compete in a tough lineup made a major impact on our success. For her to finish the season earning this honor says a lot about her resilience and the work she put in."

Throughout the season, El Sherif held the No. 1 singles position, playing a key role as the Aggies recorded their best season ever. Facing top opponents, she posted a 7-7 record, including a three-set win over Campbell's Sandri Mari Marti, who earned second-team All-CAA honors on Friday.

El Sherif's strong performance also included a three-set win over Queens University's Lucy Hogan on April 2 and a straight-sets victory at Hampton's Serena Bryan on March 22. Her consistent results at the No. 1 singles position contributed to the Aggies' record 10-5 season and their highest-ever winning percentage (.667).

"She was a great fit in that leadership role for us," said Bivens. "I'm very proud of how she represented herself and our program in her final ride for A&T. All-conference is a fitting honor."
