RALEIGH, NC – North Carolina A&T women's tennis is crafting one of the best seasons in program history.
The Aggies continued to march toward history on Thursday with a 4-0 win over the Shaw University Bears at Worthdale Park. The Aggies won their second straight match and find themselves three matches above .500 as March comes to an end with a 6-3 record. A&T is on pace to post one of its best winning percentages ever.

Tabeth Tadoum powered to a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles over Allan Antonyan and Veronika Phillippova. A&T's No. 1 doubles pair also cruised—senior

Valeriia Fomenko dispatched Cam Angiani-Mortino and Serena Teluwo 6-2.
Sophomores
Dorsa Cheraghi and
Flavia Villegas battled at No. 2 doubles but still impressed, edging Halley Banda and Tanaka Garikai 6-4 to sweep the doubles point and put the Aggies up 1-0. Singles play proceeded smoothly for the Aggies. Villegas overpowered Phillippova in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
Cheraghi dominated her singles match, downing Antonyan 6-0, 6-1 to push the Aggies ahead 3-0. Three matches remained unfinished after El Sherif sealed the win at No. 1 singles, defeating Garikai 6-4, 6-1. Shaw rallied in the unfinished matches. Angiani-Mortino took the first set against Rakotoarilala 6-1 at No. 2 singles, but Rakotoarilala surged to a 4-1 lead in the second before A&T's clincher ended the match.
Teluwo seized the first set over Fomenko 6-1 at No. 3 singles and led 4-3 before play ended. Tadoum appeared poised for victory after claiming the first set over Banda 6-2, leading 4-3 in the second.
The Aggies will get a huge challenge on Saturday when they head to Charleston, SC, to face fellow Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) member College of Charleston at 10 a.m.
