DURHAM, NC – North Carolina A&T men's and women's track and field made a stop at Duke University over the weekend at the Duke Invitational at Morris Williams Stadium.
The Aggies trip to the Bull City was highlighted by an impressive showing in the 100-meter hurdles by freshman
Jayda Lewis. Lewis ran a personal record of 13.74 on Friday. Lewis failed to qualify for Saturday's final, but she did post the best time this season in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA). Despite not qualifying, Lewis finished first in her heat, finishing ninth overall, one spot shy of qualifying behind professional athlete Birgen Nelson. In the same event, senior Zamia Stelley finished 21st overall with a time of 14.04.
Lewis's time moved her to No. 7 in the CAA. Freshman Rachel Wildgoose also climbed the rankings, running 59.97 in the women's 400H to place eighth. Her time ranks third in the conference, just behind Elon's Duna Vinals (58.52) and UNC Wilmington's Sadie Buchanan (59.94).
The men also made progress. Sophomore

She finished 10th overall. In the 200m, she finished eighth overall with a time of 24.09 to move into the No. 6 ranking in the league.
