GREENSBORO, NC — Not only is North Carolina A&T senior women's golf star Ekaterina Prokhorova stacking titles, she's also stacking weekly honors.
On Wednesday, the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) named Prokhorova CAA Women's Golfer of the Week for the fifth time this season. Wednesday's award comes after she put together a two-day, three-round score of 7-over 187 over 45 holes to win the 2026 Arcis Golf HBCU Classic, A&T's first spring tournament since completing the fall season three months ago.
"Over the break, Ekat made major commitments to her health and completely elevated her approach to the game," said A&T's director of golf Mesha Levister, the first woman in A&T history to serve as a head coach of a men's program. "She came back sharper physically, clearer mentally, and fully in control of her process… Five awards aren't luck— that's growth, discipline, and a player who decided to level up."
Through 10 weeks of competition, Prokhorova has earned half of the season's weekly honors. There are still three tournaments on the schedule before the CAA Championship, April 17-19.
Only two other golfers have made repeat appearances on the weekly awards list -- John Logan from UNC Wilmington (UNCW) and Molly Hardwick from Charleston, both of whom the conference recognized twice.
With the Arcis Classic title, Prokhorova recorded her third tournament win of the season and sixth consecutive top-five finish. She owns the program record for career tournament wins with four. In addition, she led the Aggies to their third tournament victory of the season.
A&T will be back on the greens March 2 for the River Landing Classic hosted by UNCW on River Landing Golf Course in Wallace, NC.
