GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T redshirt freshman Lewis Walker continues to impress, and it continues to stockpile Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) weekly honors.

On Monday, Walker secured his fourth CAA Rookie of the Week men's basketball award after averaging 20.0 points and shooting 60 percent (12-20) from the floor and 94.1 percent (16-17) from the free throw line. Walker ended his week impressively. By securing his 11th 20-plus scoring game of the season when he posted 24 points against the Elon Phoenix on Saturday.

His 24 points helped the Aggies defeat the Phoenix 102-82 at Elon's Schar Center. It marked the most lopsided win in the series' 21-game history. Walker went 7-for-11 from the field and 10-for-10 from the free throw line. He also added four rebounds.

"This season has said a lot about Lewis's character because we have put weighty expectations on a freshman's shoulders," A&T head men's basketball coach Monté Ross said after A&T's loss to the College of Charleston on Thursday. "He doesn't press too much because he knows he is going to get opportunities to score the basketball."

Walker scored 16 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field and 6-for-7 shooting from the free throw line in A&T's 74-61 loss to the Charleston Cougars at Corbett Sports Center on Thursday. The Aggies trailed by 23 in the second half before Walker helped the Aggies get to within four with seven minutes to play.

Walker and A&T's next outing is Thursday when the Aggies travel to Wilmington, NC, to face the UNC Wilmington Seahawks at 7 p.m. at Trask Coliseum.
