GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T has a date for the university's 100th homecoming. The Aggies will face the Elon Phoenix on October 31, 2025, at Truist Stadium for the school's Greatest Homecoming on Earth 100th celebration.
The Elon/A&T matchup will give the 100th homecoming celebration a local feel, as Elon University and A&T are approximately 25 miles apart. The Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) released the conference schedule on Tuesday, in conjunction with A&T's release of its non-conference slate, giving the Aggies a 12-game schedule.
The Aggies will open the season at home against Morgan State on Saturday, August 29. A&T has not played the Bears since the 2019 season, when they lost 22-16 in Baltimore, Md. The last time Morgan State visited Greensboro was in 2018, when it won 16-13. Morgan State leads the series between the old Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) rivals, 44-38-3.
A&T goes on the road over the next three weeks with games in Atlanta, Durham, and Buies Creek, NC. The Aggies face Georgia State on Saturday, September 5, before renewing their rivalry with North Carolina Central University (NCCU). The Aggies are hoping to break a four-game losing streak to the Eagles when they travel to O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium on September 12.
A&T's game in Buies Creek will mark its CAA opener on Saturday, September 19, against Campbell University. The Aggies have split their previous four meetings, 2-2. A&T returns home on Saturday, September 26, to host CAA foe Rhode Island University for the first time. RIU won the only previous meeting between the two teams, 31-23 at RIU, in 2023. The Aggies will then travel to Rhode Island to face Bryant in Smithfield, RI, on October 3.
The last time the two teams met, they were members of the Big South Conference. A&T won the game 24-13 in 2022 at Truist Stadium. Also headed to Truist Stadium for the first time will be the New Hampshire Wildcats. The Wildcats are coming off an NCAA Division I-FCS playoff appearance in 2025. A&T and the Wildcats will meet for the first time.
Norfolk State will come to A&T for the Aggies' final non-conference game of 2026 on October 17. The Aggies' last meeting against the Spartans came in 2023, a 28-26 win in Norfolk, Va. A&T will take the next week off before playing Elon for #GHOE. After #GHOE, the Aggies will play at Monmouth and at Hampton before closing out the season at home against UAlbany. UAlbany will be the third opponent on A&T's 2026 schedule; the Aggies will be playing for the first time.
