Softball Releases 2025 Schedule

The Aggies will play NCCU and UNCG at home this season.

GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T softball head Jose Gonzalez Jr. enters his second season with a revamped A&T roster and a new 2025 schedule.

The Aggies released their 51-game schedule on Tuesday, with the opening game on Valentine's Day, February 14. The Aggies will play in three preseason tournaments, play their archrival North Carolina Central University (NCCU) twice, and an ultra-competitive Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) slate.

A&T will open the season in the Leonard Moody HBCU Collegiate Invitational with a February 14 game against Florida A&M at noon. The tournament concludes on February 16 and will include games against Claflin (February 14), Prairie View A&M (February 15), Jackson State (February 15), and Alabama A&M (February 16).

Three days after the season-opening tournament, the Aggies will play their home opener against NCCU on Wednesday, February 19, at 1 p.m., from the Lady Aggies Softball Complex (LASC). A&T's second preseason tournament is February 21-23 in Spartanburg, SC.

USC Upstate will host the Sparkle City Invitational Tournament, and the Aggies will open the tournament against Colgate on February 21 at 11 a.m. The tournament will also include games against Wofford (February 21), Colgate (February 22) and Upstate (February 22 & 23).

The Aggies will have a single midweek game against UNC Greensboro at the LASC on Wednesday, February 26 (3 p.m.) before playing in their final preseason tournament, the Second Annual Catamount Classic hosted by Western Carolina University (WCU). The tournament will run from February 28-March 2, and A&T will open the event against Presbyterian College.

They will also face WCU (February 28), Presbyterian College (March 1), Merrimack (March 1) and WCU (March 2).

A&T's other non-conference contests include a March 5 doubleheader at Queens University of Charlotte starting at 3 p.m. in Charlotte, NC. The Aggies will return the game against NCCU on March 12 in Durham. The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) plays two games at the LASC on March 18 & 19. Both games start at 2 p.m. The Aggies' final non-conference tilt will be a home doubleheader against Presbyterian College on Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 2 p.m.

CAA play for the Aggies begins on Friday, March 7, with a three-game series against the Monmouth University Hawks at the LASC.  2011-15. Friday's game will start at 1 p.m., Game 2 will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m., and the series finale is on Sunday at noon.  A&T's other home series are against Campbell (March 14-16), Towson (March 28-30), Elon (April 18-20), and Charleston (May 1-3).

A&T's first CAA road series will occur March 21-23 in Wilmington, NC, against the UNC Wilmington Seahawks. The other road series are against Stony Brook (April 4-6), Delaware (April 11-13) and Hampton (April 25-27).

The Aggies reached the CAA tournament in 2023 and will look to return in 2025 when Campbell plays host to the tournament in Buies Creek, NC, from May 8-11. The top six teams from the 12-team league earn a berth to the conference tournament.
