GREENSBORO – The 2024-25 women's basketball schedule is complete after the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) released the conference schedule for each team on Tuesday.
The Aggies, who reached the Super 16 round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) last season, released their non-conference schedule in August, which included three home games against prominent North Carolina institutions such as the University of North Carolina, North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and Winston-Salem State University (WSSU).
Their season starts November 4 at Southern Methodist University (SMU), and the CAA schedule begins January 3 at home in Corbett Sports Center against Triad Piedmont rival Elon. Weekday conference games for women's basketball start at 6 p.m.
A&T's other home games at #ClubCorbett are Friday, January 17 (Drexel), Sunday, January 19 (Stony Brook), Friday, January 31 (Hampton), Friday, February 7 (College of Charleston), Sunday, February 9 (Campbell), Sunday, February 23 (Delaware), Thursday, March 6 (William & Mary), and Saturday, March 8 (UNC Wilmington). Weekend conference games start at 2 p.m.
In addition to the Aggies home game against traditional HBCU rival Hampton at home on January 31, the season series will start with the Aggies traveling to Hampton, Va., on Sunday, January 5, to play the Pirates. The Aggies will remain on the road over their next two games as they play at Delaware on Friday, January 10, and at Towson on Sunday, January 12.
The remaining CAA games away from home are Friday, January 24 at Monmouth, Sunday, January 26 at Hofstra, Friday, February 14 at Northeastern, Friday, February 21 at William & Mary, Friday, February 28 at UNCW, and Sunday, March 2 at Elon.
In A&T's previous two seasons in the CAA, the Aggies have emerged as a contender for the regular-season title. The Aggies finished 12-6 and in a tie for fourth place after the 2022-23 season. They had the second-best record in the league after a three-way tie for first place at 13-5. The following season, the Aggies finished in a tie for third at 13-5 and earned a bid to the WNIT.
