NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES (9-11, 6-4 Big South): N.C. A&T saw its six-game winning streak snapped Wednesday, with a 73-52 loss to High Point University in Corbett Sports Center.

Shareka McNeill led the team with 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Chanin Scott added 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals, and Sean Kelly Darks added 10 points and tied a career-high with six rebounds.

A week ago at Corbett, the Aggies defeated Radford 88-47. Scott led N.C. A&T with 22 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals on 8-for-10 shooting from the floor. Harris added 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Faith Blackstone also had a good night with 16 points, four steals and two assists.

Head coach Tarrell Robinson is in his 10th season and has a 184-104 (.639) overall record, and he is 115-33 (.777) when facing a conference opponent. Robinson needs eight wins to become the program's all-time leader in coaching victories. Over the last six seasons, A&T has won four regular-season Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) championships and three MEAC tournament titles. 

RADFORD HIGHLANDERS (5-14, 1-7 Big South): The Highlanders have lost three straight, including the 88-47 loss at Corbett. The Highlanders have lost their seven conference games by an average of 17 points. Bridge Birkhead is the only Highlander averaging double figures (10.6). 

During the last meeting against N.C. A&T, Birkhead and Kyanna Morgan led the team with nine points each. Radford started cold as the Aggies built an 18-0 lead. The Highlanders shot 24.0 percent from the field in the first half.

Mark McGuire is in his ninth season as a head coach and has posted a 147-112 overall record. McGuire guided his team in 2018-19 to a Big South Championship and a bid to the NCAA tournament after a 26-6 record.

THE SERIES: Before the earlier matchup this season, Radford won the only meeting between the two schools, 63-52, in Radford, Va., on Feb. 15, 1989. N.C. A&T evened the series with their largest margin of victory this season. 

QUOTABLE: "We're hoping to get back on the right page playing a familiar foe. We had a lot of success against Radford at home. Like all teams in the Big South, they are very good in their gym."

GAME NOTES: 

• Jazmin Harris' five points against High Point last time out snapped a streak of nine straight games scoring in double figures. 
• Chanin Scott has scored in double figures in 12 out of her last 15 games, including the previous nine. She has six games with 10 or more rebounds in her last 15. In her last nine games, Scott averages 17.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists. 
• Shareka McNeill is the reigning Big South player of the week. She has won two player of the week honors this season.
• Robinson needs 16 wins to become the third basketball coach in A&T history -- men or women -- to win 200 games at N.C. A&T. He will join Don Corbett and Cal Irvin. 
• The Aggies will play 10 games in 22 days (Jan. 21 – Feb. 12), including three makeup games that were postponed due to COVID.  
• A&T has won its last two games on the road.
