NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES STORYLINES

  • Head coach Tarrell Robinson is in his 11th season and is the school's all-time winningest coach in program history with 194 wins. He set the record with a 68-49 win over South Carolina State Orangeburg, S.C., for his 192nd victory.
  • Robinson has a 194-111 overall record and has made three NCAA Tournament appearances, three postseason WNIT appearances, and won three conference tournament championships and four regular-season conference championships.
  • Robinson is looking to become the third basketball coach in A&T history – men or women – to reach 200 wins, joining men's coaches Cal Irvin and Don Corbett.
  • In addition, he has a 101-27 record in Corbett Sports Center. The Aggies 89-38 win against Mid-Atlantic Christian on Nov. 15 gave Robinson his 100th win in Corbett Sports Center, the first women's coach to reach the milestone.
  • Maleia Bracone has scored in double figures in all eight games. She is the only Aggie to accomplish the feat.
  • The Aggies recorded their second 70-plus point win this season after a 110-40 win against Johnson & Wales Saturday.
  • A&T had three players to record double-doubles with Jazmin Harris (22 points and 12 rebounds), Chaniya Clark (13 points and 12 rebounds) and D'Mya Tucker (16 points and 11 rebounds).
  • Chaniya Clark received the first Colonial Athletic Association weekly award in program history after receiving CAA rookie of the week on Dec. 12. She secured her second career double-double by posting a career-high 13 points and a career-high 12 rebounds.
  • Jazmin Harris is averaging 15.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in her last 15 games. Over the same time frame, she is shooting 52.3 percent from the floor.
  • Three Aggies recorded their first-ever collegiate start this season. Clark and freshman Taliya Council both got their first collegiate start on Dec. 10 against Johnson & Wales.
  • Sophomore Laila Acox got her first start against Cincinnati (Dec. 1).
  • The game at Auburn starts a three-game road swing. After Auburn Thursday, A&T travels to East Carolina on Monday and North Carolina Central on Wednesday before beginning play in the CAA on Dec. 30 against Elon at Corbett.
  • The Aggies have a 589-574 record and need 11 wins for 600 in program history.

SCOUTING THE AUBURN TIGERS

  • Auburn is riding a four-game winning streak, with the last loss to No. 6/5 Indiana, 96-81, on Nov. 25 in Las Vegas.
  • The SEC preseason poll predicted the Tigers to finish 13th out of 14 teams.
  • Aicha Coulibaly, a 6-foot guard out of Mali, earned preseason SEC second-team honors.
  • The last time out, Auburn defeated Louisiana 81-41 behind 56.3 percent shooting to secure their second straight 40-plus point victory.
  • Auburn ranks second in the SEC and third in the nation in blocks per game (6.7), totaling 60 blocked shots in nine games.
  • Coulibaly leads Auburn in scoring (16.8) and rebounding (6.1). Honesty Scott-Grayson is the only other Auburn player averaging double figures with 14.2 points per game.
  • Johnnie Harris is in her second season leading the Tigers. She has a 17-20 overall record. The Tigers are coming off a 10-18, 2-14 (SEC) record from last season.

The Series

  • Auburn has won all six meetings between the two teams.
  • The last game between the teams occurred on Nov. 16, 2017. The Tigers came away with a 63-53 win at Auburn.
  • It was the closest scoring margin in series history.

Quotable

"This is the first of our next three road games, with it being the toughest on paper against a really good Auburn team. Taking care of the ball and getting quality shots will be key to giving us a chance to have success."
