AGGIES OVERVIEW: The last time the Aggies played a game was on Jan. 31, when they rallied from 24 points down to beat Florida A&M, 67-65, on a game-winning 3-pointer by junior Blake Harris at Corbett Sports Center. Preseason Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) player of the year Kameron Langley is the leading scorer for A&T at 10.7 points per game. The Aggies are tops in the conference in scoring margin (+8.0), field goal percentage (49.3 percent), assists (15.0 per game) and turnover margin (+2.75). The Aggies are also riding a five-game winning streak, the longest in the conference. Head coach Will Jones is in his first full year after taking over in late December of 2019 and is 22-14 (.611) overall and 16-4 (.800) in the MEAC.
RATTLERS OVERVIEW: The Rattlers are coming off a weekend sweep of N.C. Central and currently sit in second place in the MEAC's southern division at 3-2, 1 ½ games behind the Aggies. Junior guard MJ Randolph is still the leading scorer for FAMU at 15.1 points per game. In the two contests against A&T, he recorded 12 points and 20 points, respectively. In the first game, Randolph was one assist shy of a triple-double. The other Rattler averaging double-figures is true freshman guard Jalen Speer at 10.8 points per game. FAMU boasts the best scoring defense in the conference, allowing just 60.4 points per game. They also sport the best 3-point field goal percentage defense at 27.7 percent. Fourth-year head coach Robert McCullum is 37-67 (.356) at the program's helm and 29-24 (.547) in the MEAC.
