QUOTABLE:Â "It's always a great opportunity when you get a chance to play an in-state school. With that being said, we look forward to the chance to continue our winning ways at home hosting East Carolina University. We've got to do a better job of taking care of the ball after having 37 turnovers against NCCU if we plan on coming out with a victory."
GAME NOTES:Â
- The ECU game ends a three-game homestand.Â
- A&T is 2-0 during the homestand with both wins against MEAC opponents, South Carolina State and North Carolina Central.Â
- The ECU game is the first of two consecutive games against the American Athletic Conference. A&T travels to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face Cincinnati on Sunday at 2 p.m. to finish the non-conference schedule.
- Chanin Scott has 14.7 points per game in her last seven games and 16.0 points per game in her previous five, including four where she scored in double figures. In her last five, she averages 8.6 rebounds per game in her previous five with two 10-plus rebound games.
- The Aggies will put their 10-game home winning streak on the line tonight against ECU. Â
- Current Aggies assistant coach Jaleesa Sams scored 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting as a sophomore guard when A&T last played ECU in 2008.
- Current coach Tarrell Robinson was an assistant coach for the Aggies on that team.Â
- Robinson is 23 wins shy of 200, which would make him just the third coach in A&T history – men or women – to win 200 games at the school. Â
