EAST GREENSBORO – North Carolina A&T freshman Fajr Kelly of the women's cross country team has been named the Big South's female freshman of the week. She becomes the first Aggie to receive a cross country honor from the Big South. 

Kelly has been the first in Blue and Gold to cross the finish line in the two meets she has competed in this season. Most recently, she placed 30th in High Point's VertCross Invitational with a time of 19:06.5.

During High Point University meet, Kelly averaged 6:09.0 per mile pace. 

Kelly will look to continue her successes as the Aggies shift their focus to the Big South Conference Championships on Friday, Oct. 29, in Kernersville.
