AGGIES OVERVIEW: The Aggies have been out of commission for almost two weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their last game was a blowout victory against Carver College, 112-46, on Jan. 14. Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) preseason player of the year Kameron Langley is the Aggies leading scorer at 10.2 points per game and ranks 15th in the conference in the same category. As a team, N.C. A&T is second in the conference in steals per game (8.6) and first in the conference in turnover margin (plus-5.07). The Aggies are also riding a three-game winning streak, tied for the longest in the conference. Head coach Will Jones is in his first full year after taking over in late December of 2019 and is 20-14 (.588) overall and 14-4 (.778) in the MEAC.
RATTLERS OVERVIEW: The Rattlers have not played since Jan. 10, a win against S.C. State in their lone conference game thus far this season. The MEAC preseason poll projected FAMU to finish third in the MEAC as voted on by head coaches and sports information directors. Junior guard MJ Randolph received preseason All-MEAC second-team honors and is the Rattlers leading scorer this season at 16.0 points per game. FAMU boasts the best 3-point field goal percentage defense in the conference (.296) while the Aggies shoot at a 33.1 percent clip. Fourth-year head coach Robert McCullum is 35-65 (.350) at the program's helm and 27-22 (.551) in the MEAC.
