EAST GREENSBORO – Former Aggie forward Ronald Jackson has signed with Overtime International Sports Agency in another step toward his dream of playing in the NBA. Jackson has exhausted his collegiate eligibility.
 
"It has been quite the journey to get to this point," said Jackson. "From being a walk-on redshirt in (junior college) to signing professional. It just shows you what hard work, discipline, dedication and never quitting looks like."
 
Overtime was founded by NBPA/FIBA certified agent Dave Gasman, who has represented high-level basketball players for nearly two successful decades. According to the agency's website, Gasman has negotiated over $100M in player contracts and signed players such as Toronto Raptor Malcolm Miller as well as several overseas players.
 
"Signing with my agent means opportunity," said Jackson. "I have had the chance to display my talents to NBA teams during the season and hopefully I'll have my opportunities to work out first hand in front of those teams."
 
Jackson is coming off a very successful senior season in which he averaged a team-high 15.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per game becoming the first Aggie to average a double-double since Bruce Jenkins in 2001.
 
He earned first-team All-MEAC honors as well as being named a BOXTOROW All-American. He was named MEAC defensive player of the week twice. He was second in the conference with 15 double-doubles on the season.
 
"Overseas isn't a question. I can find a job there," said Jackson on his opportunities in the future. "The real question is can I fulfill my dream job right after graduation. I wouldn't mind going overseas and building my career, but my desire is the NBA and I will be there one day."
