Longwood (6-2) won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead after Jamie Breunig and Marija Venta defeated junior
Ameer Robertson and sophomore
Marlene Estenssoro Pineda 6-0 at the No. 2 position. Longwood clinched the point after Yulia Almiron and Maria Saez defeated senior
Renata Ruiz Rabadan and junior
Mikaya Hamilton 6-2 at the No. 1 position.
Freshmen
Florielvis Hurtado Pernaleta and
Jaimy Lokoschus were defeating Crystal Nzewi and Emma Nurgazieva 4-1 when the match was called because Longwood already won the doubles point.
Longwood took a 2-0 lead after Saez defeated Robertson 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 3 singles position and took a 3-0 lead after Breunig defeated Estenssoro Pineda 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 4 singles position.
The Lancers clinched the match over the Aggies (0-6) after Almiron defeated Hamilton 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 2 singles position.
Hurtado Pernaleta won the first set 6-4 against Nzewi and was leading 5-1 in the second set when the match was called at the No. 5 singles position. Ruiz Rabadan lost the first set 6-3 and was losing 6-5 in the second set when the match was called at the No. 1 singles position.
Venta and Lokoschus went unfinished at the No. 6 singles position.
