The dominance of A&T Men's Track and Field is No. 2 

The dominance started in 2017 but it was given an exclamation point in 2018. Duane Ross, N.C. A&T's director of track and field programs has built strong women's and men's programs during his tenure in Greensboro.

But what has done on the men's side is unprecedented at the university. This past year made it evident for Ross' men's programs.

The year started with the men and women defending their respective Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference indoor championship. The men repeated as champions in a convincing way. The next closest school – Bethune-Cookman – finished 46 ½ points behind the Aggies total of 144.

In the spring, the men also repeated as MEAC outdoor champions while the women came within a half point short of repeating. The women were not the only ones who had a hard time, however. It was much harder to win for the men in the spring. It took a great close to outlast the BCU by three points.

The cherry was put on top this fall when the men's cross country team also won a MEAC championship. It was something the program had not done in 3 ½ decades. It truly showed just how powerful and envied the men's track programs have become at N.C. A&T. Three Aggies earn top-15 spots including freshmen Regan Kimtai (2nd) and Morris Kimble (6th) and junior Mar'Quise McGee (7th). N.C. A&T won with 26 points over Savannah State's 34.
